Call-for-Abstracts

TAT11 invites all interested individuals to submit oral and/or poster abstracts to share the most up-to-date research and review challenging and interesting cases from around the world. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 

Subjects That Will Be Addressed at TAT11

  • Pre-clinical Studies and Experiences

  • Clinical Experiences and Applications of Alpha Emitting Isotopes

  • Nuclide Production/Supply

  • Radiochemistry

  • Targeting and Delivery Systems (e.g. New chelation, nanocarriers, various internalization approach, etc.)

  • Dosimetry & Instrumentation

  • Quality and Regulatory Aspects (e.g. Handling of alpha emitters in clinics, dealing with waste, FDA approvals etc.)

Important Dates

  • Initial abstract submission deadline: September 13, 2018

  • Extended abstract submission deadline: November 16, 2018

  • Author notification of abstract acceptance within four weeks of deadline

  • The abstract portal will remain open until Dec 31st, 2018. Abstracts submitted after November 16 will be considered for poster presentations, but not for speaking opportunities.

Submissions

This year, the online abstract management system of TRIUMF called INDICO will be used for abstract submission and reviewing. Click here or on the buttons to access the system.

A registration for INDICO is required for all submitting authors. If you are already registered, use your existing login details.

  • Length: Max 500 words (including the title, references and acknowledgments)

  • Language: English

  • No figures, schemes or tables will be published/printed. However, they can be uploaded for reviewing purposes.

  • Additional guidelines will be available when you access the submission system.

TAT 11 Draw

Join our mailing list at the bottom of the page for your chance to win an all-expense paid trip to TAT 11. Details below:

  • To be eligible for inclusion in the draw, individuals must complete and submit the online form to subscribe to receive TAT 11 information updates by email.

  • Residents of the Province of Quebec are not eligible.

  • Completed subscription forms must received by December 22nd to be included in the draw.

  • The draw will take place on January 2nd  and the winner will be notified by January 4th.

  • The winner of the draw will be awarded the following:

1.Complimentary full registration for TAT 11, a value of CAD$600, which includes:

  • Participation in the optional tour of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories on Monday, April 1, 2019 with return transportation Ottawa-Chalk River provided by motor coach (based on availability at the time of registration as space is limited).

  • Welcome reception at the Canadian Museum of History on Monday, April 1, 2019.

  • Participation in all sessions Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 4, 2019.

  • Networking refreshment breaks Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 4, 2019.

  • Networking lunches on Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

  • Gala dinner at the National Gallery of Canada on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

2. Five nights hotel accommodation, including applicable fees and taxes, in a standard Fairmont room within the TAT 11 guest room block at the Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel, to a maximum of CAD$1,800.00.

3. Return travel by a commercial airline, Via Rail, or personal automobile between the winner’s normal place of residence and Ottawa.

 Terms and Conditions

  • The winner must confirm acceptance of the award by January 18th. Failure to do so will render them ineligible and another winner will be selected.

  • Winner must register and attend TAT 11.

  • The winner must be eligible to travel to Canada.

  • It is the sole responsibility of the winner to obtain any and all travel documents, if required, to enter Canada.

  • The winner must arrange their own travel

  • The winner must provide their arrival and departure dates so that their hotel reservation can be made by the TAT 11 organizers.

  • Travel by commercial airline will be arranged by the TAT 11 Organizers according to the lowest available web-based economy class fare with total costs reimbursed to a maximum of CAD$2,800.

  • The award must be used exclusively for TAT 11 registration, hotel accommodation and travel – no cash surrender value.
